Yah...heard it yesterday so it must be true: the gang of 14 saved the republic! The compromise on the filibuster saved what the Founding Fathers put together. They can now confidently reply to Dr. Franklin that we..well, they, have preserved the republic. Whew!!! Glad that's been resolved.
But, I'm just an uneducated schlub. My masters in the Emerald City know what's best for me, so I appeal to them to tell me where in the Constitution Senator McCain (The Savior of the Republic, the Defender of the Constitution and Grand Upholder of His Oath of Office) precisely where in the Constitution he thinks the Senate can propose a Clean Sports Act?

Hugh Hewitt is right: McCain is a great American,a lousy senator and a terrrible Republican.
And I feel NO sympathy for Hewitt at all as he whines on and on about this travesty (read my column archived April 10th and titled
I Ain't A Clue Why We Have A Problem Here!)
